Thank you Julio, it is really flattering to receive a rating so high, from such a very tallented photographer such as yourself!

Beautiful face and very nicely composed. May be a little hard but lighting is very good for this kind of portrait. Just boosted the contrast a bit and adjusted the levels. A little tweaking of the highlights as they were blown out in the original. BTW Who is she?

Kind regards.

Thank you everyone for your comments. Your compliments mean alot to me, as I am familiar with your portfolios, and rate you all as superb photographers!

Once again Zafar, you have worked miracles with my photograph. I used to be cynical about photoshop, and digital manipulation in general; but your work here, is equivalent to any degree of dodging and burning in the darkroom! There is clearly a real talent to it, and you are clearly very talented! Once again, you have inspired me - I'm going to spend much more time in the "Light Room", to see what I can achieve.

As to whom she is: She is a very dear friend, who alas, married another!

Thanks again for your help and interest.

Regards, and my respect, Nick.

Very nicely done, Nick. Not only have you captured a very sensitive expression, but the exposure is almost perfect for the partial backlighting.

Beautiful capture of a beautiful subject, I like the lighting effects.

Your portraits are really very lifelike. They seem to look both to peoples's physical features and to their personalities. It is also relevant that you've found film as your preferred media.

This is one of the first photographs that I took with my new EOS. I was hoping for a

naturalistic look in portrature, and opted to use only available light. I'm loving my Orange

filter - what do you think?
