Cerainly gives a good sense of being lonely this image. THe haze certainly adds a lot to the photo and just catching the edge of the coast line also enhances the image rather than just a boatman on water (lots of those knocking around). ONly suggestion might be to try dropping it slightly as there is a large margin of water on the LHS, worth playing with for a bit
