Panoramic Rainier

daniel_rice

My first attempt at creating panoramics via photostitch. After being stitched together, the image was sharpened, sepia toned, and had its contrast increased in photoshop.

This is my first attempt at stitching photos together to create a

panoramic effect. All comments and ratings are welcome.

Thanks!

Very nice, not bad at all. The choice of sepia is refreshing. However, I still feel that we need a little more contrast here to make this shot stand out even more.

I like the image, but this doesn't look like Mt. Rainier to me. I am sure it must be but I am curious. From what vantage point in the park was this taken? I agree that a bit more contrast would be beneficial.

I think the contrast is fine in your image, in my opinion. There's just enough of a value difference between the trees in the foreground and the mountain in the background to differentiate the two. I think if the image was contrasted too much you'd lose some of the finer detail of the clouds and trees.

I'm a big fan of the Photostitch program, though when using it with real busy images, like of plants and vegitation, it didn't do a very good job for me. I did take a neat photograph of a cloud front that i've been meaning to post on here, though after stitching it, it is close to 8000 x 2000 pixels!

Good job on your image, I'll have to check your folder out.

i am not sure if this photo was an ideal candidate for a panoramic photograph. if you observe the left half of the photo, ther is not much happening there. it makes me feel like cropping the left 1/3rd off. once that is done, i think the photo has enough interest to hold the viewer.

I like it.

Nice sepia, good panoramic/great effect, love the view.

I personally would like to have seen a bit more of the trees in foreground.
