Like Alex, I was drawn to the stark juxtaposition of architectural styles here; but also to the colours and geometry. Not only do the styles of building contrast, but the soft, stone tones of the essentially "vertical" older building on the right, perfectly set off the harsh, metallic, industrial tones of the essentially "horizontal" modern building on the left. This coupled with a fantastic "found" diagonal, produces an exceedingly successful composition.
