Having been to a lot of these you might want to try seapia toning it and adding some noise. Just an idea.

Good shot, but I'd maybe try to shoot it so that tree ain't bang in the middle.

This is a good image. Where was the re-enactment? I posted a few that I took at one here in California. Sepia or B&W with some noise gives it the "taken then" feel.

These were taken at the battle of Aiken in SC. This is an annual event hosted by the local SCV Camp here. I have some others I've worked up in B&W with noise but liked the muted colors in this one. It was a cold windy rainy day. As for the Tree in the center of the frame, ya take what ya can from where you are, front row parking was at a premium.

The colours are spot on by the way.

Gareth the winteroaks with the smoke on an overcast rainy day all mixed for beautiful lighting. It was very cold and very wet but I was glad I stayed.
