taner 3 Posted February 27, 2005 Hi Marina Is this a 7/7 photo? No. Is it aesthetically pleasant to look at? Oh, Yes. "...horizon in the middle..." Does that matter? 'Get a life' would be my answer; breaking the rules 'rules'... but not always. There is one rule here that you broke, which in my opinion 'breaks' the shot, instead of 'making it': The arm/hand of the character on the left intersects with a rock formation in the background, and this distracts from the overall composition and, perhaps even more, from the 'drama' regarding the two characters. I have always read in photography books that this problem is especially heightened with sihouette compositions, but I would have never guessed that such a 'tiny case of this problem' being so distractive, hence 'destructive... Cheers. Link to comment
doug_garrett 0 Posted February 27, 2005 I have to agree about the merger of the hand with the rock being distracting. But I also have to say I love the color, I think the horizon works where it is, and I like the silhouette of the two people, especially the on the left who is almost framed by the explosion of light behind him/her. Great shot! Link to comment
paula grenside 0 Posted February 27, 2005 Spectacular colors and great mood. I only wonder what the two silhouettes ( men) are doing. Link to comment
chris d 0 Posted February 27, 2005 This could be just about the best sunset photo I've ever seen. The sunset is so good that the two people in the forground hurt the shot because the sunset stands on its own... Link to comment
rinconesdecanarias 0 Posted February 28, 2005 La foto me encanta. Un saludo Link to comment
