oswegophoto 1 Posted February 25, 2005 I like this shot a lot. Very clever, putting a bit of negative (negative space?) there, and lighting it so you got those sprocket holes to throw shadows. My only quibble is it looks like there's a filter on the lens, reflecting some glare, which spoils the look of the lens. If it's not removable, perhaps a polarizer could cut the reflection? Anyway, well composed, well executed. Link to comment
etan_lightstone 0 Posted February 25, 2005 Thanks for the comments... when you say "filter on the lens" Do you mean on the lens I'm shooting with, or the lens of this rangefinder in the shot? Link to comment
oswegophoto 1 Posted February 25, 2005 Sorry I wasn't clear - I'm talking about the rangefinder when I say filter reflecting glare (obscuring the lettering on the lens), and the camera you're shooting with when I suggested a polarizer if that's not a removable filter on the rangefinder. Guess I'm not used to needing to specifiy which lens I'm referring to. ;-) Link to comment
dominiquedodge 0 Posted May 10, 2005 What you've done with the lighting on the strip of negative is excellent. Overall I'd prefer a bit more space top and right. Perhaps if there was a clearly recognisable thing (a face or a camera for ex) visible on the negative, that would make it even stronger. Link to comment
