Realy good idea and composition but I think it would work better with less sharpness. The high sharpness destroys the shadow / motive contrast a bit.

Good exposure--catches the texture of the snow while retaining detail in the dark branch. I might be inclined to crop a little off of the top, bottom and right side: add to the power of the design and composition.

Tones look right, good texture showing in snow (often washed out or too gray).
