This was shot in color using a fill flash from about 6 feet away with Rachel leaning into a playground tunnel slide. The photo was then desaturated, level adjusted and selectively blurred in the background using PhotoShop. The overall, added soft focus was created by blurring a copy of the original B&W layer and making it 50% transparant.
