jimcallum 0 Posted February 22, 2005 I'd like to know if enough or too much is happening in this photo.I've been looking at it so long tonight that it's hard for me to tell.I appreciate your comments,Thanks,Jim Link to comment
zlm 0 Posted February 22, 2005 Really awesome shot, the sky is so dynamic, and the tone is beautiful. If you have any advice for getting such a nice Sepia tone, please let me know, I've tried to play around a bit, but with limited success. Thanks for sharing this beautiful photo. Link to comment
michaelt 0 Posted February 22, 2005 Its perhaps a little busy. I like it all the same. The most detracting aspect I find is the bell shape object that meets at the same place as the horizon, not the fact that there is a lot going on. If the shot was taken from a slightly higher aspect it may have been better. The sky is truly spectacular. Hope that helps. Link to comment
laboz 0 Posted February 22, 2005 I think that the line of the biggest ruin that is at the same level of the Horizont line is a little bit disturbing.....in any case a great Shot!! 6/6 Link to comment
jimcallum 0 Posted February 22, 2005 Thankyou all. I agree that I should have shot that column from a lower or higher aspect, so it doesn't end right on the horizon.Zack, to get the sepia tone, I used (in Photoshop) Image,Adjustments, hue/saturation, in the menu bottom right I chose "colorize". I usually move the slider a ways to the right from it's far left position, then desaturate a little more. Hope this helps.Jim Link to comment

AaronFalkenberg 0 Posted March 11, 2005 Jim, you obviously know what to do, or rather "should" do, so I won't really offer a critique. This looks like a great spot, and I hope to see a few more from here. Link to comment
