Guest Guest Posted February 22, 2005 Again a beautiful composition of the same location. Nicely exposed. Shadows lack punch but overall a very pleasing result...7/6 Kind regards Link to comment
colin carron 58,916 Posted February 22, 2005 The cold feeling is lifted by the lights on the castle. Link to comment
harnstrom1 0 Posted February 22, 2005 Thank you. I admit it was hard to find a nice tone and contrast in this one. The blue hour is a challenge. Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted February 22, 2005 Has a magical tone. I can understand it being hard with the bright white swans...good job. Link to comment

bens 0 Posted February 25, 2005 Jan, i don't know how you did it, but you did. this just leaps off the screen as a splendid, invigorating shot, really evokes a smile from me. why? well, the foreground-background, both are vivid and dramatic. the foreground because of the pleasing contrasts on birds rendered with a very nice clarity; the background because the one color off the black-blue-gray-white continuium is that great rust color on the building. there are nice curves in the birds and the building wall, it seems to be an early morning tranquil moment. the water is reflective without being distracting. did i say this is splendid? bille 0 Posted February 26, 2005 Great shot. My only nit is the overlapping swans to the left. It would have made the composition even better if the left most brown swan had been left out. However, I realize that swans are difficult to direct :) 6/6. Link to comment
