christiankiely 0 Posted February 19, 2005 Yes, this really was a "wildflower." Attached see a full frame crop. In the raindrop you'll see the mirror image of the hills, sky and other poppies. Link to comment
christiankiely 0 Posted February 19, 2005 Comments appreciated... It was pouring this morning and I got soaked, but there are benefits to shooting in the rain! Link to comment
dragonfly606 0 Posted February 20, 2005 Thats absolutely an incredible picture Christian! I am SO lazy. Most rainfall we've had in SO Ca in YEARS. I NEED to get out there, and you are convincing me! Link to comment
kim_tural 0 Posted February 20, 2005 Cool picture, great colour and pretty droplets reflecting the light and their surroundings. Also a lot of work cutting out the background I presume. Link to comment
christiankiely 0 Posted February 20, 2005 Kim, There wasn't any cleaning up to do. It was shot with a wide aperature into a dark background that couldn't be illuminated w/ the fill flash, thus it went pretty much black. I adjusted the contrast just a tiny little bit but this was pretty much done in camera. Link to comment
kim_tural 0 Posted February 20, 2005 Thanks for your explanation of this. I had no idea you could get pure black unless it was taken at night. Still learning. Link to comment
