Yes, this really was a "wildflower." Attached see a full frame crop. In the raindrop you'll see the mirror image of the hills, sky and other poppies.

Cool picture, great colour and pretty droplets reflecting the light and their surroundings. Also a lot of work cutting out the background I presume.

There wasn't any cleaning up to do. It was shot with a wide aperature into a dark background that couldn't be illuminated w/ the fill flash, thus it went pretty much black. I adjusted the contrast just a tiny little bit but this was pretty much done in camera.

Thanks for your explanation of this. I had no idea you could get pure black unless it was taken at night. Still learning.
