ricardo navarro 0 Posted February 20, 2005 Thank you very much again for all your comments and ratings, Nicholas, I am overwhelmed! Every time I come to your portfolio I find a new evocative image. Beautifully balanced composition in this one, nicely framed by the branches, and the same classic looks I like so much in the St. Peter's one. These two photographs bring me back the light and warm feelings of my first trip to Rome, long ago. More please, I am collecting them! Link to comment

nicholasprice 0 Posted February 26, 2005 I spent much time, and even more film exploring the Roman Forum. Trying to get an interesting, well-framed shot of this subject, with good perspective is difficult enough; getting one without any tourists wandering arround is pretty imposible. Anyone who has photographed here will attest to this. This was my best effort, so I'd be glad to know what you think, or if you have any suggestions. - Thanks, Nick. Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted March 9, 2005 another flat gorgeous b&w ruin photo! Excellent composition too - what time of day did you shoot this? It's fantastic! Love the detail, that single column upright in the middle ground... wonderful! Link to comment
nicholasprice 0 Posted March 9, 2005 Thanks Kathy, It was late, last summer, I was wandering arround the periphery of the Forum looking for somewhere to have lunch - I was pretty hungry, so I suspect that this was taken at about 2pm, in the full force of the Roman light! geoprospector 0 Posted April 7, 2005 Very nice composition. I like how you use the branches and leaves as a framing! Link to comment
nicholasprice 0 Posted April 7, 2005 Thank you Janik, I spent all day looking for a good "frame" to make up for the bleached-out sky. Regards, Nick. Link to comment
