shayne_laverdi_re 0 Posted February 20, 2005 Hi I really enjoy the concept of your picture but I feel as though the angle and attitude of your shot is not up to the standards of the situation at hand. I don't know what happened before and after this picture was taken and it is very very difficult to aproach a situation like this one but next time you come upon a situation like this one try to step out of your comfort zone and walk up to the person and ask them if you can take their picture. I understand the anguish that comes with doing something like that but imagine if you could have had this woman facing you, it feels as though not enough is being said here. A good picture none the less Happy shooting Link to comment
shayne_laverdi_re 0 Posted February 20, 2005 Hi I just forgot to mention that the picture that I left with my critique was shot in rome and that I asked the mother if I could take their picture, she was still sitting down, she said yes so I gave them money, she laid down on the ground and I took the picture, this was the result. Make sure to look at the picture Happy shooting Link to comment
naturetrek 0 Posted February 20, 2005 The situation probably did not permit a better angle but again, it is a great capture. 6/6 Link to comment
MichaelChang 12 Posted February 21, 2005 I pondered over Shayne's comment and respectfully disagree. As it stands, the lighting accentuating her silver hair and bags adds to the mystery of not seeing her face. The composition is balanced and pleasant, and the massive pillar and dark tones further adds to her vulnerability. The picture makes me wonder why the woman stopped by the church with a seemingly heavy and awkward load to carry. Link to comment
