suhail_mir 0 Posted February 17, 2005 Amazing! You have done a great job by recognizing and then composing the three elements: frost, trees and the sunset. Link to comment

neolite 0 Posted February 19, 2005 When I first saw the picture, I thought it was leaves falling from the tree. Then I thought you had taken a picture through a sheer. When I read your description and saw that it was a natural photo graph of frost, I fell in love with it. Kudos! P.S. I didn't realize Georgia got that cold ;-) Link to comment

watermark_of_merni 14 Posted February 28, 2005 I will try to explain how my frosted photographs came to be...... A close family member was going to be on the radio station too early in the morning. I could only pick up the station in my driveway and in my car. I took a cup of coffee with me and my cell phone so I could listen and call the DJ. I had planned to have the heat on in the car but when I saw the frosted glass everywhere I ran back inside for my camera. As the sun rose I listened to the music of my favorite DJ and shot many frosted pictures. I also got a little crazy from a combination of things. The wild music, coffee, and being cold and hungry. While in this frame of mind I drove around my yard half blind. I could not see too well through the frost on my cars windshield. Crazy, blind and high I drove looking at all of the different views through the frost and trying my best to capture them. Now this is where my idea for the photo, "fire and ice" came to be. I was tired of the cold and added a little heat. That's when the frost started to thaw. So here I was still at it with the camera and the radio signal coming and going. I kept clicking away because the scenery only got better. Link to comment
hanggan 0 Posted February 28, 2005 Great moment very well captured! I love how those falling leaves show the beautiful view in the background. I can feel the atmosphere. Nice composition, as well. Thanks for your lovely comment on my photos. My best regards, Hanggan-Indonesia Link to comment

slewisphoto 0 Posted March 8, 2005 A true Artistic Approach... Coffee, Atmosphere, and a M.P.V.F. (Mobile Picture-View-Framer)... Obsessive-Photo-compulsive? Nah just in the Groove! Love those moments, great shot... Link to comment

jerry ting 1 Posted March 11, 2005 MERIWETHER, how come I didn't see this one on the TRP before? This is really wonderful. Perfect exposure and colors. Good eyes to spot this beautiful image. I heard about Judy's leaving PN and I really feel for her. But I think it could be good for her to take a break and re-group herself. I too quited PN for over a year before I came back last october and now I am not that easily to be beaten by harsh comments and nonsense low ratings because I know what I am. I truely believe Judy will be back in no time because she should know she is already up there in the 'excellent photographers' rank and shouldn't care about those crappy comments from crappy people. And Meriwether, my friend, don't even think about quitting because you just started your wonderful journey not too long ago and you know you have the gift on this magical thing called 'photography'. Regards. Jerry Link to comment
