aaron_good 0 Posted February 15, 2005 We'd been driving up the coast all day, looking for land to start a homestead on. The sign said there were sea lions to be seen. We saw no sea lions, but it was beautiful nonetheless. After 3 years together, we broke up, as the pain of living 3,000 miles apart was too much for both of us. As I was going through my pictures of us together, cathartically editing her out, I found this picture. I worked on it and was moved by the result. It captured how I felt then, there by the ocean. bens 0 Posted February 15, 2005 hi aaron. you know, i found that when i sat with this for a few moments, it really grew on me. the mood, i imagine, is very much what you experienced, a tranquil sundown by the water with a loved one. it comes across well that way, and the sun reflected off the building in a quirky way really works. my one suggestion is that my eye searches for a sharp focus somewhere, but doesn't quite find it. soft works for this mood, but you may want to sharpen the person on the left a bit more. thanks for sharing this, its quietly interesting, or interestingly quiet or, well, you know what i mean!
