Hi All,

I recently took this sunrise image of Donnington Castle in Berkshire

UK. The image is a composite of 10 individual Canon 20D shots,

which have been stitched & blended to produce this 20x8 panoramic

print. You can see the individual parts of the image here:

http://www.pbase.com/luben/image/39496972

Blending between the darker & lighter shots was done to increase the

available dynamic range, since I don't use ND grads to darken the

sky. Photos were taken using the 17-40f4L lens.

What do you think of the framing? And how about the PS work? Is

this a believable image, or does it look doctored to you. I was

going for the natural look.

Thanks in advance.

Luben - I think you nailed it. I wouldn't have known it was a stitch unless you'd mentioned it, and the lighting looks great. I think the framing is good - the area to the left of the ruin looks a little redundant and is less interesting and darker than the rest of the shot, but I think it's necessary to have the correct balance to keep the shot centred: I find that the wall facing the photographer diagonally draws the eye to the centre, and it needs something on the left to balance it out. There's a slightly disconcerting red spot over on the right at the top of the grass slope, but otherwise I can't think of anything you might have done differently. Best, Jeremy.

Fantastic job on this image, cant really tell there was a lot of PS work, maybe just the usual enhancements. Great comp and amazing color. Keep up the great work!
