salvatore.mele 1 Posted February 26, 2005 Among the best shots of the vietnamise salt-trade I've seen. I like the way she, the sky, the clouds partially blends in the salt, and the hand and legs do colour the scene. The motion is great, as is -usually for you- the composition. I've longly thought about the cropping of the hat. Is this intentional or a necessity of the moment/focal length? For a while I was annoyed by it, but then came to decide that is actually a bit cliche` to have it all in and ended up liking it this way. Link to comment
mg 0 Posted February 5, 2006 I think this is a very nice photo, and perhaps one of my favorites or even "the" favorite in your folders. Knowing that these "baskets" are normally used to carry fruits or such, I find this picture very enigmatic. Was this person just doing this for you ? Or did he/she just pick this thing, which was somehow burried in the snow ? Or is this salt or choke - I guess so but at first sight we can't tell for sure...? Good composition anyway, and great action, with very good motion blur. My only regret: I wish you had exposed this just a tad darker, so we could actually see more texture in the highlights all around. Regards. Link to comment
