I love everything about this photo! The lights above the chairs draw attention to the foot patterns in the sand. You can almost hear the lingering conversations! Chairs not parallel with each other convey the movement from the day. Then in the distance you see fishing boats moving at work. This contrasts well from the day on the beach spent relaxing and at play. Well done Stephanie !

I've browsed by this image and each time it stopped me for just a second, because the colors work and the composition is excellent. 7/7

The picture is full of life - really an achievement. Congrats! And I must say it's a fabulous use of natural and tungsten lights together.

Beautiful light and composition. I liked a lot the use you did of the artificial light to give a different touch to the shot. Good work.

Thank you all for your kind comments. I sure wish I was there right now! Hopefully, everyone there is fine after the tsunami... I think this area was spared.

Stephanie, you've shot this at the right time, when day meets evening, giving a relaxed atmosphere. I like the translucence in the chaircloth and the haphazard placement of them, almost giving them life of their own and not needing occupants. The rubbish (?) in the bottom corner is a bit distracting and I might try to clone that out, but I don't think the boats should be removed as they provide a subject of viewing from the chairs. Well shot.
