problems with light

I like the composition on this one... but the colors are kind of drab for me... Here's a tweaked color version.. some will say, I'm sure that the colors are too saturated. To each his own, I guess.

I like the quiet colors. I often drive by scenes like this, which I think are beautiful, but somehow, something is lost in the translation when photographed. Yours isn't like that.

I often happen to like these scenes, but this image as posted, does not contain a lot of detail, either it was cropped from a much larger image, judging by its shape and/or its overcompressed. Anyway, in the upper R/H corner there's some overexposure and loss of detail, the bane of the digital camera. Some careful metering or choice of exposure can minimize this issue. What I would recommend in this type of image is a bit more real color, not the manipulated type, and posting at a higher resolution level.

Larry, I think this and many more of your portfolio images may benefit with square crop. Seems to me your eye see's this way. I like the soft muted colors here, too. Nice.
