I like the light gradients and how the straight lines and right angles of the metal pieces are seen first and right after that the viewer sees the random, squiggly marks....excellent.

You did a good job with lighting the edges like this. Great to look at - though I'd prefer a more abstract approach which might be achieved by cropping out far left (shadows) and right (writing.)

Seven, thanks for the criticism. Somewhere, I got the idea that a photographer shoots for full-frame compositions, and I sometimes forget that it's ok to do so. Cropping is a tool I need to get more comfortable with, especially since I've been shooting with one lens. almost exlusively, for six or seven years now. One lens can't do it all, every time. So, I'll try to post a revised and cropped image here....

Nathan - haven't seen this for a while : I like the attachment too - difficult to get one's head round which is the challenge I enjoy. Cheers.
