I really like this effect - excellent! Have you considered cloning out that wire at the top of the image? It's the only part I don't care for.

Desaturated background still needs way to much work and clear concept (sky? peoples? architecture? Now it's just outside line coloring book

The post-process is really good managed, I don't usually like this mix between color and B&W but here I think it's a good choice and with an excellent realization.

Bravo ! :)

It's an amazing work - congrats. Having still colors in the background works pretty well. I just think, that the people in the background should be desaturated-otherwise they get the viewers attention (instead of the main figures).

It's a marvellous photo!

Many people who attempt to blend black and white with color don't create a pleasing effect, but you did. The subjects in the photo are incredible, with a dramatic and striking background. Good job.

love the contrast B&W and color and how Venice appears in depth, yet detailed, in the background. I shot the Crnival, too, but have yet to find one that can be compared to this. Really good.

As much I was hard on some people when their picture is manipulated, I do compliment this one. Background is desaturated just enough,. any more and it would provide contrast. Background is just as intricate as details in the fabrics of the costumes. Furthermore, costumes of man and a women are like positive and negative. She is dominantly blue with gold patterns, he is all gold with blue patterns. There are many juxtapositions in the shot, perfectly balanced throughout the picture,. very, very well done and thought out

A good photo of Venice will always get my vote. A big favour, can you give me a quick run through of how it was done please? My attempts at this kind of thing have been dismal.
