dave lemke 0 Posted February 6, 2005 I managed a music store for a few years and one thing I always will remmeber was that Elvis fans were generally a little bit ... crazy? No, that's a little harsh, but they definitely had a few screws loose. Don't get me wrong, I am fully aware that there are normal Elvis fans out there - but I probably used to serve some of the people that left, say, those tiny little bears at the foot of Elvis' grave .. oh, and btw, they were probably 45 years of age at least. Tackiness is scary (and so are these people that think he's still alive). To quickly comment on your photo, aside from the gaudy subject matter - I really like the composition of the photo. The way the border works itself around the grave - its a good eye. I doubt most people would see that when they went to take the photo. Link to comment
pradeep satyaprakash 0 Posted February 8, 2005 Thanks for your explanation. Yes, some fans of Elvis can be scary. I am a fan, but not a scary one. This was my first visit to Graceland and I was a bit underwhelmed. I had envisioned it in my mind differently, but what I did like was the prescence that place has. It is uniquely Elvis and has all the class, excitement, tackiness, and sillyness that embodied the man. I think I became more of a fan after visiting Graceland than I was before I visited it. Cheers.
