Donna, thank you very much for your visit and comment. I think that the 400mm focal lenght is not very easy to use in landscape. I have used it very little and this was my first try with it. Compared to that, I am very happy with this image. Thanks again. Regards, Baldur

Cherlyn, thank you very much for your visit and comment.

The "Islanders" has a past. There has been a church on the island Videy since the 12th century, and in 1225 a cloister for monks of the Augustine order was founded there. The current church is the second oldest in the country, having been dedicated in 1774 by Arni Thorarinsson, then a pastor in Reykjavik, later the bishop of North Iceland, residing at Holar. The house beside, is the oldest one in Iceland made of stone. Videy is the largest island in the fjord Kollafjordur and has an area of 1.7 km2. Videy belongs to Reykljavik. The "Islanders" are our neighbors.

Thanks for sharing, I like this and I don't know why exactly, but I like it the most in the little size, the houses looks like they are painted on the screen.

Baldur, I really like the light here, apart from good composition. I am putting Iceland as one of my top travel destination wishlist.
