I know this would be a better shot with a blue sky as background but

how is it as it is?

To my taste, I would've played with composition the other way around, and would've cropped the white space at the left, and play with the rule of thirds having the head of the bird near the upper right aureal point. The sharpness, color rendition and posture are excellent, neverthless.

Good advice Willy. I'll try a different crop and see how it looks.
