ned1 0 Posted February 3, 2005 Another sculpture made from found object on display at Fuller museum, Brockton Mass. See this show, it is great. Link to comment
ned1 0 Posted February 4, 2005 I feel a little uncomfortable with the high ratings for originality this has been getting. As a photographer, the only input I contributed was choice of exposure, which I think I nailed, and the decision to place it a little off center which I'm not so sure about. All the rest of the credit goes to the sculptor, who created such a striking piece. What's your opinion about the role of the photographer in situations like this? How would you evaluate it properly? I'm curious. Link to comment
davidmccracken 2 Posted February 4, 2005 Maybe the credit should go to the sculptor but I am sure if you had not have photographed this, I would never have seen it. Isn't that what photography is about.... in part at least? Link to comment
manuelbayo1 0 Posted February 4, 2005 May be you're right, but I think the matter are the criteria for rating photographs. For me originality is a minor question: I'm not taking fotographs just to be original. Thinks like composition, technic, etc, are more relevant. As we cannot rate your photograph according these criteria in this site, I'd also choose to give you a high rate also in originality to be sure the overall rate is the one I feel comfortable with. scott_clarke 0 Posted March 1, 2006 A very nice image, for me it is the light that makes this work.Regards Edward. Thanks for the link by the way. But I could not find the book. Link to comment
