An orange with oil (colza) and a lighter : composition by a dummy

Soft enought ? I would have liked a better macro on the flame and its

reflection, but it's a little bit too hot for my Point'N'Shoot camera.

Maybe i could use a zoom with my reflex (80mm ? more ?) ? Not obvious.

Actually, I like the blurriness of the flame - makes it more 'burning'. I also enjoy the light's play in the peel. Overall a superb composition and I do wonder how you managed to get such vibrant colours in your jpeg. I have a hard time doing that. Very nice shot!

I did not managed to get vibrant colours! I just took the JPEG produced by the APN and cropped it. Sony's APN are quite good in colour "capturing" (and bad in other areas...)

Very original. I like the details in the orange's skin.
