herbert fernandes 0 Posted February 1, 2005 Lovely pic.. But I dont like the cyan/ Bluish bit in the sky.. makes it look a bit unatural Link to comment
cherlyn 1 Posted February 1, 2005 Beautiful image. One just can't imagine what how many colours & tones a sky can have, so this works fine for me. Link to comment
gianlucabasso 0 Posted February 1, 2005 Cherlyn, the sky is so strong and so wonderful in Africa...... Link to comment
paula grenside 0 Posted February 1, 2005 Gianluca. Clouds can create infinite patterns and variations. Here they rise and lower at the same time, the lower ones almost crushing the solitary tree. The foreground looks a bit sacrificed and I understand your choice to show the whole upper expansion. But the foreground is beautiful, too, and deserves all attention for the loneliness and the golden glittering of the water. You might consider cropping a fe inches on top, just where the white bluish cloud forms a sort of double arrow. Just to try. Anyway, beautiful landscape and colors. Link to comment

micheleberti 0 Posted February 1, 2005 Molto bella. Un classico esempio di come le regole sono fatte proprio per essere violate. Bravo. Solo un neo: intorno a quell'albero (sui bordi) e dietro (tra le frasche) c'蠡ncora un pochetto di lavoro in sospeso! ;-) Link to comment
gianlucabasso 0 Posted February 1, 2005 Michele, hai ragione, ma proprio non sono riuscito a toglierli quei maledetti pallini bianchi !! Link to comment
treeffe 0 Posted February 1, 2005 Good picture Gianluca, the composition aimed to the clouded sky and the pattern of the clouds themselves (that seem the main subject) leave the Solitaire tree as a secondary character. Just a little doubt on the choiche of the blue on the top of the picture. Did you try a pure duochrome version? Best regards Fabio Link to comment

vrankin 1,339 Posted February 3, 2005 Great light and tone. Luminescent! Also, the dynamic balances of sky and earth, cool and warm tones, and exposure values make this an extraordinary image. Link to comment
keithofey 0 Posted June 22, 2007 A wonderful picture which so captures the essence of big sky and wid open space we have in Africa, and the whole tone begs the notion, "Out of Africa" firmly grounded with a striking thorn tree siloueted, and the foreground watering hole, with a hint of rain to break the lingering afternoon heat.. Well done.. I love this and would have it on my wall anyday! Link to comment
