Simply phenomenal, Alec. The colors and placement of exposure values are excellent. Makes me wish I could go back there. Your stitched panoramic photo is almost like being there!

Thanks for commenting guys. Flynn, if you are going to use the AF DX Fisheye-Nikkor 10,5mm f/2.8G for a wide angle view I can't wait to compare the horizon with my 4 vertical 50mm panorama images. With one shot I think your image may not be as clean as my 4 combined. The perspective might be too crammed (skewed) together. Anyway be prepared to lug up your gear up this point and walk about 2 km more. Camp overnight if possible and catch the view from dusk to dawn. I'll do that if I go again. ^_^

Well Berkley, at least now you can see what is "well known" is not so accurate. The skill of the photographer is always more important than the equipment used. You're using four different cameras in your portfolio including a D70, and they all seem to be giving the same results. So pictures like this do help to bring on a little bit of inspiration dont they?

Alec, you have absolutely outdone yourself with one! You have made an obviously stunning landscape into something more spectacular. I love where you positioned the horizon.

Better composition on this one for sure. I took mine from my friend Nikkor 12-24mm. I should have my polarizer on. It took me three days to get soft lighting for the shot. Great job.
