Jan, Paul you're right. As there are so many positive critics for this image I just had to rework the sky and improve the crispness. I used the 4 original images, stitch it together and reduce it to 1230 X 663. This time the color and clarity is much better. Hope you like it as much as I do. Now to print one 13 X 19 to hang on my wall. ^_^

i'm giving this a 7/7 because it's a fantastic perspective of an incredibly beautiful place. One thing i'm not keen on are the green streaks on the rocks at the bottom left of the picture. One way that can happen is by oversaturating in photoshop. If you did this, you could have done it with a mask, that way allowing you to remove the saturation effect from the rock face. Just a suggestion.

Hi Lorenzo, actually I use the original four 6 megapixel shots from the Nikon D70 and reduced the size into one image so as to get as much details as possible. The stream colors and canyon are unmanipulated except for cleaning up the stitching. I can assure you the clear river colors are as it is with lots of algae which may seem like streaks. Check out the close-up view of the 2 cruiser and you'll see the streaks there too. I'm still not very happy with the rendition of the clouds though. With 4 images it's really difficult to get it together.

A fine shot, Alec, and worth the effort imo. I like the reflections from the river which give a sense of scale as do the cruisers (once you had pointed them out). This is one to print up as large as it will go.

Awesome, Alec. I'm glad you fixed up the sky. I know how tough it is for pano stitching job to keep the entire dynamic range. Well done!

Alec. It is well-known that the D70 cannot take pictures of this quality, especially with the kit lens, which is suitable only for the lowest rank of despicable amateurs. Therefore, I must conclude that this image was made entirely in Photoshop! Or alternatively, it is the work of Alien Beings who came in Chariots!

Incredible work, perfect stitching and gorgeous color.

Everything is perfect here: your work (panorama, composition...) and the scenery itself: such light, such dramatic sky. I envy you!

I can't add anything that hasn't already been noted, except that I'm a hard sell on landcapes...7/7...stunning

This is location and type of shot I am hunting for. I can't wait to see this panoramic shot done with real wide lens like AF DX Fisheye-Nikkor 10,5mm f/2.8G. The contrast of extreme cold green and warm orange colors creates amazing effect. I would stay close to this location as much I can to find more, how something so beautiful can be out there. Very nice capture! 7/7
