When I gave you the "Self Portrait Challenge" I never envisioned such a result. I love it! It is as creative as you are, and so is totally fitting. You have a few tricks you haven't shown me yet;-)

 

And, BTW, the answer to your question?....tomorrow, tomorrow, and tomorrow.

This is what I might look like if the rust takes over, and you know how I love RUST !

We'll still love you, Roger, even if you fade to rust before very long. Nice effect, although I want to see the original. It looks like it was good to start with.

Not bad, but well the subject needed a bit of a lift...so thank goodness for PS !

It's a very dramatic shot in the original. I like the lighting and the pose.

dust to dust... I think we all wonder if we will be remembered, loved, once we are gone. I don't think you will have to worry kind sir!

I know you've noted that it is rust, but my first thought was dried-out desert plains from back home... and an old settler, pondering a tough, outback life. Perhaps this is what makes this work so well for me... all the romanticism you can read into it.

Nice job Roger - always pulling something out of that bag of tricks.

Nice shot Roger. I think the inclusion of the vertical line through your right eye (ouch), makes a world of difference. Without it, the result wouldn't be as satisfying. Cheers, malcolm.

I meant to say... the inclusion of that vertical line almost adds an old movie reel feel to this as well...

My thoughts were indeed of the rough and harsh interior of this land called Oz, and the Natives theron...

Here in Holland we say "rest rust" (in dutch "rust roest") simple and straight. I think this will take some time still :-) wich folder did you place it by the by?
