w. roger keagle 0 Posted January 30, 2005 Self-portrait, PS'ed to combine the original with a shot of rust, use of low pass filter to improve the depth, and high low filter for better contrast and impact...let me know what you think... Link to comment
ljk 0 Posted January 30, 2005 When I gave you the "Self Portrait Challenge" I never envisioned such a result. I love it! It is as creative as you are, and so is totally fitting. You have a few tricks you haven't shown me yet;-) And, BTW, the answer to your question?....tomorrow, tomorrow, and tomorrow. Love, Linda Link to comment

w. roger keagle 0 Posted January 30, 2005 This is what I might look like if the rust takes over, and you know how I love RUST ! Link to comment
kslonaker 0 Posted January 30, 2005 We'll still love you, Roger, even if you fade to rust before very long. Nice effect, although I want to see the original. It looks like it was good to start with. Link to comment
w. roger keagle 0 Posted January 30, 2005 Not bad, but well the subject needed a bit of a lift...so thank goodness for PS ! Link to comment
kslonaker 0 Posted January 31, 2005 It's a very dramatic shot in the original. I like the lighting and the pose. Link to comment
1000wordsphotography 0 Posted January 31, 2005 Fabulous... I would love to know the secret of this image. dust to dust... I think we all wonder if we will be remembered, loved, once we are gone. I don't think you will have to worry kind sir! Link to comment
andrewpgrant 0 Posted January 31, 2005 I know you've noted that it is rust, but my first thought was dried-out desert plains from back home... and an old settler, pondering a tough, outback life. Perhaps this is what makes this work so well for me... all the romanticism you can read into it. Link to comment
johnz 0 Posted January 31, 2005 Nice job Roger - always pulling something out of that bag of tricks. Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted January 31, 2005 Nice shot Roger. I think the inclusion of the vertical line through your right eye (ouch), makes a world of difference. Without it, the result wouldn't be as satisfying. Cheers, malcolm. Link to comment
andrewpgrant 0 Posted January 31, 2005 I meant to say... the inclusion of that vertical line almost adds an old movie reel feel to this as well... Link to comment
w. roger keagle 0 Posted January 31, 2005 My thoughts were indeed of the rough and harsh interior of this land called Oz, and the Natives theron...
