Downtown Los Angeles from Angeles crest highway

Do you think this photo would be better if it were cropped? I am not

sure if the mountain in the foreground adds to the picture or not.

There is not much detail in it, but it may give the scene depth.

Leave it as is- it's a great shot.

The mountain is good but what is the dark grey bar across the bottom of the image? A road barrier? I'd get rid of the bar.

 

Lovely image and that bit different from other sunrise(?) shots in having the human influence crawling all over the natural scenery.

If you were to crop the image, I would recommend cropping to panoramic, as in taking off some sky as well. Otherwise you'll effectively move the city in the frame, when it's working so well where it is. Details are hard to pick up in the city with the thumbnail, I'm glad to see that they show up in the full-size image. The previous comment referred to the grey bar at bottom--is that scan junk? It needs to go or rubberstamp the rest of the mountain into its place.

I cropped out the slide mount on the bottom. Also cleaned up some dust and dirt with the rubber stamp in Photoshop.
