david_rice 0 Posted October 11, 2001 Do you think this photo would be better if it were cropped? I am not sure if the mountain in the foreground adds to the picture or not. There is not much detail in it, but it may give the scene depth. Link to comment
jed goode 0 Posted October 11, 2001 The mountain is good but what is the dark grey bar across the bottom of the image? A road barrier? I'd get rid of the bar. Lovely image and that bit different from other sunrise(?) shots in having the human influence crawling all over the natural scenery. Link to comment
timschultz 0 Posted October 11, 2001 If you were to crop the image, I would recommend cropping to panoramic, as in taking off some sky as well. Otherwise you'll effectively move the city in the frame, when it's working so well where it is. Details are hard to pick up in the city with the thumbnail, I'm glad to see that they show up in the full-size image. The previous comment referred to the grey bar at bottom--is that scan junk? It needs to go or rubberstamp the rest of the mountain into its place. Link to comment
david_rice 0 Posted October 12, 2001 The bar and below it are the slide mount. I must have forgot to crop it out. I will fix it and submit it again. Link to comment
david_rice 0 Posted October 12, 2001 I cropped out the slide mount on the bottom. Also cleaned up some dust and dirt with the rubber stamp in Photoshop. Link to comment
