Kirk, I'll not criticize you (who am I to criticize?), I'll just give my opinion :)

It seams not to be easy to choose the best composition of this Salt Lake landscape. But, maybe you can focus on some details and take advantage of the nice colors and shadows offer by these shrubs.

Despite this, I think this image as a good composition. Good work.

Where you have stitched the images together isnt quite right. Use http://www.panoramafactory.com/ to find some decent software that can blend 2 images well.
