saddleboy 0 Posted January 30, 2005 I think at crop a the end of the rails, on top, would eliminate distracting details and perhaps bring more visibility to your main subject... Tres bon sens de l'observation, and good composition. Just curious, have you tried B&W ??? Good shot anyway, 6/6 Amicalement, Pascal Link to comment
mcsimard 0 Posted January 30, 2005 Pascal, thanks for your constructive comments. I hesitated a long time before deciding not to crop the image; it was important for me to show that the tracks weren't really going anywhere but in the end you might be right. The picture would probably be stronger if I cropped at least the sky and the billboard. Take care. Link to comment
within 0 Posted February 18, 2005 Marie, Yes you are right if you just crop the sky and the billboard it would still give point to the ends of the tracks. 6/6 from and I would like to see your crop. Happy days to you. Link to comment
wim cremers 0 Posted November 4, 2006 Your shadow advances to a deserted industrial plant. I followed it along the track and stopped for the barriers of concrete, the billboard like a halting sign, and the dense bush. If you would have cropped the picture at the top of the track, my view would not have bounced back to your abstract blue shadow. So I would not have stopped wondering. No need to say that the blue, the colour, is an important positive element. Nice shot. Link to comment
