jez 0 Posted January 26, 2005 Matbe you were trying to acheive something I can't quite grasp, but it looks like you'd framed a shot and then some big bloke in a red shirt walked into it. I like the woman's expression, and the exposure is good, but over half of the photo is an out-of-focus intervention. Link to comment
FilmPhotography-DuaneHorne 0 Posted January 27, 2005 Marlin, That is exactly what happened. I was ready to file this slide away, but it was my daughter's expression which I enjoy about his image. The "red shirt" was unexpected and I initially thought it ruined the image. Now, I don't know. Thanks. Link to comment
melody2 0 Posted January 31, 2005 Knowing that this was the "one last look" before taking that big step into the real world, makes this a great shot. Your daughter is emerging into the world as her own person. There are alot of things that are going to step between her still being a child, and becoming an adult. This red shirt, was the first of many. You happened to capture it on film. I would cherish this photo forever! Link to comment
FilmPhotography-DuaneHorne 0 Posted January 31, 2005 Melody, Thanks for the comment on the photo, and for timely metaphor regarding "the red shirt"; much for me as a doting and somewhat controlling father to consider. Much Thanks. Link to comment
giorgio cecca 0 Posted February 4, 2005 Being out of focus the red shirt, my sight is driven directly to your daughter ("painful") look. It's not bad this shot and I think it means much more to you, as the father. Link to comment
