Michael. Great light. Is it snow on the road?

It had been raining, not snowing , I suspect that it is water. I did notice a pattern on the road and thought I had a bad scan ,I then realized it was a washboard pattern, or a blade from a road grader. Thanks for asking.

Nice how the more lit road contrasts with the trees.

Lucky me - I came across your awesome portfolio via your 'woman in Rome'. Much time will be needed & found to enjoy & learn from each. As with other works of yours, this country land though not original in composition (what is!), has that same rich deep tones and glowing high lights threaded where light is called for. The leading curve of the road travels the eye to no end. Tranquil.

This reminds me of one of my first photos I took , but it was in spring with many leaves , this photo looks great in B&W and still a favorite scene for me , you have a very good perspective for this type of shot ,a classic , regards Robert
