cappoldt 0 Posted January 26, 2005 Love the comp and the pose - viewer's eye is pulled throughout the frame easily! Shows up a little dark on my screen, though? Took a look at your website - fine work. . .would love to know the post-processing technique. - Chris Link to comment

james_adrian 0 Posted January 27, 2005 The composition and everything is fine, but I don't really like the post processing effects done to the image. Personally, i'd prefer to see more contrast on the image. I don't think the faded and dulled colours works for this. Link to comment
haleh b 0 Posted January 27, 2005 It looks good on my monitor. I do understand that people with different monitors see things differently. I have a digitally advanced monitor so I know it is not mine! As for technique used I mainly manipulated a few effects in PS to come up with a rather washed up look. I cannot always remember every step I take. They kind of happen on their own! Link to comment
scott_j 0 Posted January 27, 2005 Excellent composition. The soft tones and touch of color are well done. She is beautiful. Link to comment

ivan_dzo 1 Posted January 27, 2005 Enjoy your portfolio very much. The darker ones generally work best and I find this one has a rather overprocessed look to it. The loss of skin detail on the face and her r shoulder distract. Lovely pose those but a darker moodier post process would work better for me. Link to comment
raymax 0 Posted January 27, 2005 Haleh, I was about to add a comment suggesting that it was possible to solve the problem of not knowing how an image looks on different monitors by adding an ICC profile and use a calibrated monitor. I was going to complain that Photo.net won't let you attach profiles. Then, I opened one of your images in Photoshop and found that the image does have an ICC profile. Each time I try to submit a photo with a profile PN says that I must delete all meta data. How are you able to post images with profiles? For other readers, this means that if you use an ICC aware browser and calibrated monitor, you are seeing the same thing as the person who created the image. Ray Maxwell Link to comment
John Peri 1,035 Posted January 28, 2005 I had a quick preview of the portfolio, to see if this was a chance success. Not at all, this shot is exemplary of the author's meticulously thought out presentions. One might argue about the lighting and highlights, but it remains a striking piece of work. Well done.
