r_e 0 Posted January 26, 2005 CR: I think the secret is - besides the light of promise in the background - the open space on the left, not necessary to become aware of, which means an access for the viewer to this "strange" sphere. REgards Link to comment

mork1 0 Posted January 26, 2005 Ridiculously bad Cloning work. Though I've got nothing against PS'ed photographs. I've never seen trees grow like this, like the wavy pattern especially seen in the tree to the left. All around the image I see the same small pixel areas repeated 4-8 times, like the ground and the small bushes. I mean, why haven't anyone pointed this out before me? Still, it could have been a nice picture, I see you have some really good lightning, and the composition is good. But what awful PS-job. Link to comment
tony georgiadis 0 Posted January 26, 2005 I would like to thank everybody here individually for the comments and the ratings I wish I could dedicate an answer to everyone's comments. But I shall answer to Erlend which I think he deserves it. I tried to find the original photo as it started but I couldn't but fortunately I had another copy with which I toned and processed but left it untouched in the foreground as you can see those big cluttering iron things where very ditracting to my knowledge, I would have left them untouched maybe if they where in the same proportion but from that angle I shot the picture it wasn't possible, so I decided to get rid of them I did not want to crop the picture too... I needed that foreground to me it's an important element to the whole composition. I might have not succeeded to process it technically perfect and I did not. maybe it's something I should be more careful in the future since photos are sometimes very much scrutinized.......I apologize for being in a rush to upload it without being very picky...What was my primary concern was that Iron door which is my main subject and the surrounding mood I gave, and IMHO this photo has been rated, and commented for it's MOOD AND SUBJECT I did not submit it to be rated on my photoshop skills whatsoever I know photoshop just enough to be able to process the kind of photos I shoot. Am not a photoshop expert and I never admitted it, On the other hand I thought it appropriate to upload a sample of one that I only started to give it a mood and let you all be the judge, I feel here as being accused of cheating. And I do not like that and the way you said (What are you guys talkin about)like saying he's a cheat let's be more careful with acusations here. The trees as you see are the same right Erlend I did not grow new ones. Regards to all of you and thanks again for all your comments and ratings it is a great pleasure to share it with all of you. I consider the case closed and I shall not discuss it any further. PS: Erlend when I got involved professionally as a Wedding photographer you wasn't even born. Link to comment
tony georgiadis 0 Posted January 26, 2005 I just made the sample lighter with curves, just because it was darkly toned That's not the way the photo started....hahahaha. Thanks again to all of you Link to comment
paula grenside 0 Posted January 27, 2005 Leave all hope you who are entering here or enter here to fullfil your hopes? Great light in this lanscapes for fairies and ghosts alike. I opt for hope warching the depth of light beyond the gate. Bravo. Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted January 27, 2005 Looks like a gateway to heaven. Light is excellent. Colors out of the world.7/7 Link to comment
wogears 186 Posted January 27, 2005 Oooh! Oooh! Mystical! Spiritual! Buzzwords!! Actually, I like the lighting very much; there's a kind of mid-Victorian quality to it that I really admire. BUT the image is tilted to the right. A CCW tilt of about 1.2 degrees corrects this. OTOH, I HAVE seen trees growing EXACTLY like these many times. Great image all things considered--6/7! wilsontsoi 0 Posted January 27, 2005 Tony, all had already been said. Really great mood. Thanks for sharing the original for better understanding in both initial composition and IR capture. IMHO, original composition would work too for this moody effect. Oh well, can't please them all, so it's best to please yourself first. ^_^ Link to comment
