damian_rees1 0 Posted January 23, 2005 These trees are very strange in this photo. I think I like the colour version better. But both are great, very striking Link to comment

stever2 0 Posted May 15, 2005 darn those computers. clipping the top in the color photo created 2 significantly different versions that hinder just a color vs non color comparison. In the clipped(color) version, the road is much higher in the horizon of the frame and guides me upwards to the abrubtly clipped tree tops. In the non color frame the tree tops end naturally and helps me view comfortably into the road. The right sided tree is clipped slightly in the non color vs the color. I'd like to add the bit of missing right side to the non color and add color to the non color version. The lower the horizon of the road and natural top of the trees work well together. Even with the extra bit of tree on the right, it seems to me that it benefits from color in that with color added to the trunk, it looks more involved. Had you not suggested a comparison, I would have simply said on the non color version that it was a very good, well composed, nicely toned photo and added only a bit of a comment concerning the right side tree. Darn those requests for comparisons :) Best Regards, Steven Link to comment
