alecee 0 Posted January 23, 2005 A beautiful pond with crystal clear waters. This image taken without Polarising filter seem much better to reflect the calmness of the place. Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted January 23, 2005 Nice pic Alec...and the good thing here is you can frame it and sit back and wait for the pixels to move into the desired place. Not many things u can do that with. I had a pile of these in the pond and a family of racoons had dinner one night :( cheers. Link to comment
jerry ting 1 Posted January 24, 2005 Alec, beautiful shot. Unlike other carp shots in which they always packing up for food. The water is indeed crystal clear. Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted January 24, 2005 Hi Alec ... Are these yours????. Very colorful. Sharp n crisp. Perfectly exposed.... Did you use a polarizer Kind regards. Link to comment
alecee 0 Posted January 24, 2005 Thanks for coming by guys. No Rabbani, I did use a polariser but not for this image. I find it looks much better with the wavy reflective motion on the surface instead of just looking straight through the waters. Link to comment
j_m_lee_photography 0 Posted January 24, 2005 Alec, I've tried taking these Koi many time, but cannot get this kind of effect.I been to suntec(Koi Garden) many time, trying to have a good shooting there. But disappointment more than anything. Link to comment

conrad_seto 0 Posted January 25, 2005 What a marvelously composed colorful JPG of fish that move! Link to comment
alecee 0 Posted January 25, 2005 Spencer, if you use a polariser the results can be quite obvious. Clear and stark without movement. That's why I opt for some reflection here to show life and movement for the kois. Hope I succeed. Brandan, thanks for you kind words. Conrad nice to hear from you again. Link to comment
