lightwriting by swapan 0 Posted January 22, 2005 This bird in the Birmingham zoo was actually doing all kinds of acrobatics while I was shooting, as if posing for me. Even with the ISO at 400(which I never like) and an f of 2.8, the exposure was 1/10, causing some blur ! Your comments are welcome. Link to comment
seven 0 Posted January 22, 2005 Love the pose - fun. Great colours and dof. Might prefer to see the tail but agree that in this case the head holds the interest. Link to comment
harry eggens 0 Posted January 22, 2005 Hehehehehe....great title. Seems like the bird is trying to look at you from a different way Swapan :).......Beautiful colors and wonderful pose of the Macaw....Best regards, Harry Link to comment
lightwriting by swapan 0 Posted January 22, 2005 There are 5 people who have rated this picture below average. There are 5 people who have joined yesterday, none of them have any picture in their sites. All of them have rated approximately the same no of pictures-about 300 in one day(yesterday the nos were actually identical) with almost same pictures being rated and same ratings given. All of them have their first or last names abbreviated. As per my monitoring, most of the low ratings came from them ! Would you please care to leave a reason for the rating ? Link to comment

mitras 0 Posted January 25, 2005 pretty colors! I like the blurred out background also, nice work. this is not really a critique, just an observation: the form of the bird is not so discernible here with the tail cropped out and the beak obscured by the frontal view. Link to comment
lightwriting by swapan 0 Posted January 25, 2005 ..thank you for your comment. I agree with you but I thought that the physical position of the bird was funny enough so that the cut off tail will be less of an offense.I have the full shot but the background was too disturbing ! Link to comment
