avid 0 Posted January 21, 2005 These ruins at the edge of Death Valley look lonely, pensive on cloudy days. I have shot this on digital before but thought it is a better subject for B&W film and large format. Toned in PhotoShop from T-MAX 100 scan. Link to comment

shileshjani 0 Posted January 22, 2005 Avi, I am sure the JPEG does little justice to this picture. Link to comment
uk 0 Posted January 23, 2005 You get your message over superbly. Excellent picture, geat detail in the shadows. One of those shots where you think "what the hell is that?". Dominance of the left mostly balanced by the highlight on the bottom right and the detail in the gravel. Little over printed at the top on my screen, but I'm sure a print would be a winner. Thanks for sharing. Link to comment
john_paskey 0 Posted January 23, 2005 Really good composition. I find myself asking how it would look with a little less foreground though. Other than that I can't see any other "questions. Great tones and shades. Very original shot of Death Valley. Link to comment

tithira 0 Posted January 23, 2005 I love the sky! Just my inexpert opinion, but I feel that my eye doesn't know where to look -- the foreground, the structure or the sky... Still, on the whole I like it. The sense of desolation is captured really well. Link to comment
