Icky artifacts on the smaller version. I did not see them on my upload, so it must be due to compression and the high contrast. Looks better large.

Hi Anthony,

Art Project? No, but it may turn into one!!! I never go out specifically looking for mannequins, but when I find them I often come up with interesting compositions so I shoot away.

And you are doing Mannequins . . . we all have our favorites that we do well or that interest us . . . and sometimes we move on. In thumbnail you can't tell this is a mannequin, and I don't care too much, except I'm curious if it's a pure 'street' shot, impromptu and all, or whether it's a 'set-up' shot where you moved the mannequin . . .

Inquiringly.

Hi John,

I do have a thing for mannequins, but they are all found objects--nothing is moved or set up. I have about 10-12 in my folders and many more I've never posted. This one was actually sitting atop a building. I'll most likely do a presentation of my mannequin shots soon, but right now I've been busy working on my first documentary series so I have not been active on PN for a couple of weeks. Hopefully in a week or so I'll have more time to browse and comment, but right now I'm trying to complete enough of that series so I can enter it into an upcoming contest.

Thanks again!
