jewellery (necklace design)

A necklace I designed. Center stone is smokey quartz...the rest in

oxidized silver, gold, emerald and ruby. It is not a space station,

but that is where I began my design from.

Any thoughts on the design appreciated.

Many thanks for your critique on my photo, and specially thanks for giving my photo a high rating even though I gave yours a lower. A lot of people make this kind of thing to a personal revenge, but not you! So thank you for that.

First of all I would like to say that I don't think 3/3 is very low. Just to compare, on my photo (which you rated 6/7) I got one 1/2 and one 1/3 :)

What struck me first when I saw your picture is that it doesn't look like a photo, more like a vector graphic picture. And because your description didn't show up when I rated it, I had no clue what it was. I guess that was the main reason I didn't give you high aesthetics. And you're probably right, I could have given you a little bit higher on the originality. But my highest originality ratings go to photos that show me a usual motive in an unusual way. So I'm very confused about how to rate this one, but if I could do it again I'd probably give it a 4 for the originality.

I also want to say that I'm new to this site and I havn't got everything figured out yet. Perhaps there is a way to view the description while you rate it.

I try to only give ratings of 5 and above.

What is the point in upsetting someone and making them feel bad about their own creative work. Everyone is trying their best to release their creative souls, and why should I dampen their enthusiasm.

Also, I rarely rate a photo without leaving a comment (usually a compliment) as i want to explain my rating so as not to be an anonimous commentator...................

If you went into a bar or museum and didn't like it, would you demand to see the owner or curator to tell them that their establishment was shite.....?........probably "no". If you loved a pub or a museum and you had a chance to compliment the owner / curator, would you do so? I guess "yes"
