This portrait was very difficult due to the very strong back light.

Unfortunately I had no the possibility to do it in better

conditions.

nice potrait but unfortunately face is too dark....

A fill flash would make it winner!!!

Dear all, you're right !! I was so excited to be in the middle of such a nice people that I forgot a very simple principle....utilize the flash !!

I have seen pics of Masai warriors- lanky, dancing with spears and lion hearted. By your kind courtesy saw a beautiful Masai girl for the first time. It's a pity you forgot to use the fill-in flash. But never mind, we all do such mistakes.Regards.

Molto interessante, peccato che il volto sia leggermente troppo sottoesposto. Forse un flash avrebbe aiutato ma mi rendo conto che non sempre si puo fare cio che si vuole, soprattutto fotografando persone..

Normally, we photographers look for shade to do portraits, but this is an example of when that rule should be broken. You should make no apologies for the conditions. It is superb. All I would suggest is to do a moderate lightening of the eyes and a bit on the nose, cheeks, and lips.

I think this would be all the shadow detail necessary!
