Venturing out in to White Sands National Monument was a blast. This was one of the few film wide angle shots I took while hiking around. The lighting across the landscape worked out to my advantage in this shot. A lucky break.

Jim, as a desert lover, I can say - this is a very extraordinary shot. The composition and exposition are just perfect. The thin stripe of light at left gives the last touch to the serene and peaceful beauty of this desertscape. Jana
