elsen 0 Posted January 24, 2005 Compared to filming people of a foreign culture, maybe extracting some explicit stories from the pics of own people are even more difficult. Hence I might presume that you as a writer be more adroit to catch the whispers of a target, while these whispers are sometimes very implicit and not observable to others. Link to comment

Alex is "writing" with the light and the subject and the mood and with his editorial thoughts as to when and how to take the photograph. All of those decisions lend strength to the technical aspects of the work. But more importantly, the style of the photographer comes through amid all of his choices.
