I think your shot is really quite stunning. This picture is worth way more than a thousand words. The shoes at the bottom are so telling. I would possibly add a tiny bit of contrast to the background though. Not to take away from the main subject but either that or somehow make the sky (or lack of it) a bit more dramatic. What do you think?

Shayne - it was cloudy , very misty day in Mumbai . The reduced dof ( purposefully ) has also contributed to such background . In this condition , the rationale behind boosting of contrast in the background , is probably not there .

Story telling picture.... and love to see the same cloths of ladies which my mother and sister wear in pakistan.... and i think this is First class First picture becuase when a viewer see the shoes on the surface then the mind see the horrer of Sea... Thanks for sharing this picture because this is only picture which i showed to my mother from Photo.net. coz her apperance and cloths are almost same like this lady. 7+/7+

Though only her back is presented to us, I can still sense her anxiety ,looking out into sea, her hands clasping in front of her. A shot filled with emotions. Very well done, Tuhin. (6/7)

Like most of your images this is powerfull and telling, great job.

The woman stading alone watching the surf while the others have gone to walk in the water (maybe) as the sandals remain waiting to be filled up by their owners. Very nice shot. Simply love it.
