In terms of cropping, it is good; nice and close to show intensity of mood. It captures the emotion well. However, the lightning seems flat and eyes dark (at least on my computer) but the dark/dank colors could be also interpreted to show the extent of the child's grumpiness. Nice.

good expression, photo looks low quality. i don't know if it is out of focus or just scanned/saved at low quality. would help to use reflector to get some light on those eyes.

The stone line behind the boys face is distracting. Nice expressive portrait though. The eyes aren't quite alive, but that could be the scan.

The cropping is strange. If you're out for the expression alone (and I think you are) go in more closely. If you absolutely must have this much of him, don't crop so severely. Otherwise, lovely photo.

I think his expression is great, like to see it in B&W.
